Galeria Jordi Pascual presents a monographic exhibition dedicated to Luis Feito (Madrid 1929 – 2021), founder of the group El Paso and key figure in the development of Spain’s contemporary art movement of the second half of the 20th century.

Under the title “Luis Feito. The sensuality of color”, the exhibition brings together twenty abstract artworks, produced between the 1950s and the 1970s. This careful selection aims to spread and bring closer his artwork to the public, reflecting on the research he carried out through elements such as light, space or matter. The exhibition also wants to emphasize color as the primordial element in his work, predominant over the line and drawing in his compositions and one of the resources that Feito used to create the dualities and dramatic tensions that are so characteristic of his paintings. His work began with a reduced palette of black and white colors, which he later enriched with reds and ochres to finally open up a chromatic range and reach the maximum splendor of color.

As a result, we propose a journey through the work of this great artist, that invites the public to think about the chromatic contrasts that stand out within his unique and gestural strokes.
