Originally paisa (Medellín, Colombia), Botero revolutionized Latin America’s contemporary art world with his paintings and sculptures, which currently reside in various private collections, museums and art galleries around the world.

The voluptuous figures, the artist’s signature style, haven’t only offered a fresh perspective on modernism, but they have also forever changed our understanding of art history.
